The meaning behind the painting:
I tried to envision what things came to mind when I thought of Stacy. So, I decided to first look up the meaning of her name, “Stacy Patricia”. Stacy: Resurrection, and Patricia: Noble. And, while I do not disagree with those thought provoking words, I felt that there were at least 5 other words or symbols that I could find to describe her. And the painting evolved from there.
Strength: Stacy has a quiet strength that is a powerful and abiding force.
Beauty: Stacy is a gorgeous woman. I chose the color of the Tropicana rose (a coral/pink/salmon) in painting this word because it is absolutely spectacular in color and beauty. And it is one of my favorite roses.
Wisdom: Stacy is a very intelligent woman; and she also knows how to apply her intelligence which makes her wise.
Wit: To describe Stacy and not use the word “wit” or “humor” would be an incomplete definition. She is one of the cleverest and wittiest people I know. She makes me laugh, and I value that dearly.
@: This symbol defines Stacy’s writing prowess and command of the English language. It also makes note of her blog on the internet. The internet is synonymous with infinite possibilities. And so it goes with Stacy-- there are an infinite amount of possibilities in describing her.
S: Stacy
Resurrection: Stacy….She who will rise again, and again. She has fortitude.
Noble: Patricia. Her intentions are as noble as her great German genetics.
